AKG centre attack: Accused in Crime Branch custody for three days

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Judicial First Class Magistrate (3) S Abhinimol ordered that Youth Congress Atipra mandalam president Jithin (31), the accused in the AKG centre attack case, be handed over to the custody of the Crime Branch for three days. The court rejected the demand for five days in custody. The prosecution told the court that the probe team needs to find the clothes of the accused, his shoes, and the scooter in which the bomb was kept. It also told the court that the probe team needs to find out who else was involved in the conspiracy.

Meanwhile, the defendant's counsel quipped that the story of the probe team identifying the company of the t-shirt and shoes worn by the accused is very interesting. The defendant's counsel also asked the court not to support the political drama of the prosecution.

The court will consider the bail plea of ​​the accused on 26. Senior APP Uma Naushad appeared for the prosecution and Mridul John Mathew for the accused.
