Greenfield stadium at peak of excitement; South Africa’s batting collapses, lost five wickets before scoring 10 runs

​​​​THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An excited start for T20 match held at Greenfield stadium in the capital after a gap of three years. Indian captain Rohit Sharma who won the toss elected to field in the first match of India-South Africa T20 series.

South African batsmen were unable to find pace in the pitch. They lost 5 wickets before getting 10 runs. Four players were dismissed without scoring any runs. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma was dismissed on the last ball of the first over by Deepak Chahar, which excited the fans.

Quinton de Kock (1) got out in the first ball of next over. Following this, Russo, Miller and Stubbs were dismissed without scoring any runs on the first ball itself. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets and Deepak Chahar took two wickets for India.
