M I Rahila Beevi, an assistant professor in Physical Education has been posted at Thiruvananthapuram regional centre which does not have this course. The last syndicate meeting decided to appoint syndicate member Bichu X Malayil as the professor in charge of examinations. Such a post does not exist under the university rules. As per the University Act, the Pro Vice Chancellor is in charge of the examinations.

The committee chairman R S Sasikumar and secretary M Shajar Khan alleged that R Sharmila was appointed in temporary post as assistant professor in Philosophy by subverting the reservation.
