Violence in PFI hartal, NIA gathers information about accused to trace grassroot level activities

NEW DELHI: It is reported that NIA is seeking information regarding the widespread attack that happened on PFI hartal. The NIA seeks details about the violence that occurred during the hartal announced by PFI against nationwide raids and arrests and also about the accused involved in it. The agency expects that gathering information about the accused involved in the attack would help to get a clear understanding of the grassroot level activities of PFI.
Meanwhile, PFI leader A Abdul Sathar has been taken into NIA custody for five days for interrogation. The NIA had informed the court that a detailed investigation was required into the receipt of foreign money by PFI and that Abdul Sathar should be questioned in this regard. NIA is also inspecting about recruitment to terrorist organisations and buying benami properties.
