Death of mother and newborn due to medical malpractice; Three doctors of Thangam Hospital arrested

PALAKKAD: Police have arrested three doctors of Thangam Hospital in Palakkad following a report by the medical board that a mother and her newborn baby died due to medical negligence. The action was taken in connection with the death of Aishwarya, wife of Thathamangalam native Ranjith, and her newborn baby. The Palakkad Town South police have arrested doctors Ajith, Nila and Priyadarshini.

Aishwarya and the child died in July. Following this, the family had alleged that there was medical negligence on the part of the doctor who treated Aishwarya.
