Gets up from seat to get balance, Prajith got his own life back

KANNUR: A V Prajith, a native of Kannur, is relieved to have got his life back from the Vadakkanchery accident that claimed the lives of nine people. Prajith, a quarry worker at Erimayoor in Alathur, did not lose his life as he got up from his seat moments before the accident. Prajith, who had to get off at Erimayoor, sat in the back seat of the bus. However, when the bus passed Vadakkanchery, he got up from his seat and went to the front to get the balance from the conductor. When he was about to ask the balance, the tourist bus rammed into the area where Prajith was sitting with a loud noise. The part where Prajith was sitting was completely damaged in the accident. Prajith immediately got out of the bus and joined in the rescue operations with the locals.

The accident happened when the tourist bus carrying students of Ernakulam Mulanthuruthy Vettikal Mar Baselios Vidya Niketan School, to Ootty, rammed into the KSRTC Super-Fast going in front of it at 11.35 pm on Wednesday. The accident happened near Anjumoorthy Mangalam Kollathara bus stop on the Walayar-Vadakkanchery highway. The tourist bus which lost control due to the impact went ahead for a hundred meters and then landed into a marshy area.
