Eldhose not responding to phone calls, will take action after receiving explanation: VD Satheesan

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheesan on Friday said that MLA Eldhose Kunnapillil's explanation in the abuse case is very important and the Congress leadership is waiting for it. He said that despite several attempts to contact Eldhose yesterday and today, there was no response.

"In all places related to Eldhose, it has been informed that he should contact KPCC. As per the decision taken at Chintan Shivir, the party will adopt a pro-women stance. Even when the allegation related to Eldhose Kunnaappil is raised, the party is sticking to this position. The party has not sought any means to defend the case. The party is only seeking an explanation from Eldhose and the matter is being looked into seriously", Satheesan said.

Meanwhile, it is reported that KPCC is preparing to take strict action against Eldhose Kunnapilli. It is indicated that a suspension is also under consideration. KPCC will take action only after getting the MLA's explanation. The party strengthened its stance when the MLA was also charged with rape on the teacher's complaint.
