Youth must be ready to expose and fight corruption; says CM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan, said that the youth must be ready to expose and fight corruption. He said that the government was able to control widespread corruption. The corruption in top leadership has been curbed and added that corruption in transfers and appointments is also stopped.


The Chief Minister was speaking at the inauguration of the Corruption Free Kerala Campaign, launched by the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau.

He said that the government is moving forward with the outlook that corruption-free governance is needed for sustainable development.

In his felicitation speech, Arch Bishop Mar Baselious Catholica said that the flame lit against corruption by the CM must spread across the state. Actor Nivin Pauly said that it is a dream to have a corruption-free state and said that his full support will be there.


The actor also inaugurated a small skit against corruption. The Vigilance will conduct awareness programs in residence associations, schools, government institutions, etc. from 31st October to 5 November.

Vigilance Director, Manoj Abraham, Vigilance IG, H Venkitesh, SP, and ES Bijumon attended the function.
