KOCHI: The Kerala High Court has granted bail to the accused in the AKG Centre attack case and a youth congress activist. The verdict was pronounced by a bench led by Justice Viju Abraham. Jithin moved the high court after the magistrate court in the capital city rejected his bail plea.
The accused claimed that the case was concocted and he was implicated in the case without any evidence. However, the government's argument was that the accused used bomb and there is evidence against him including the CCTV visuals.
The AKG Center was attacked on June 30th night. A youth on a scooter was seen throwing an explosive and returning but he could not be traced as the visuals were not clear. The case was later taken over by the crime branch. A case was taken against the accused on charges of conspiracy, causing damage using explosives and illegal possession of it.
