KOZHIKODE: The BJP State President, K Surendran, said that the left is protesting against the Governor in public to overcome the disgrace caused after the Supreme Court struck down the appointment of VC to the Technological University.

The BJP leader asked that the Chief Minister must be ready to say if the protest is against the Supreme Court. The verdict in the Technological University case is applicable to other universities too. The government which has pushed the higher education sector into a crisis is now trying to justify its actions.

The CPI(M) is trying to accuse the Governor of being an RSS worker because he questioned the corruption and nepotism in the universities. The state government has completely destroyed the higher education sector.

He accused that every appointment is being done from the AKG Center. The Chief Minister is trying to appoint those who are favorable to him as Vice Chancellors over merit. The Supreme Court’s verdict makes it clear that such things cannot be done.

K Surendran added that the BJP will lead a strong resistance of the people against the left’s move to threaten the Governor.
