THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The vice chancellors have rejected the governor's ultimatum to resign. None of the vice chancellors have resigned as demanded by the governor to resign before 11.30 am today. Moreover, the nine VCs have decided to move legally against the governor. The six vice chancellors have informed the Governor in writing about this. Since the government is not a party, they will approach the court on their own after meeting legal experts.

Meantime, the high court will hold a special sitting today being a holiday on the governor's directive asking the vice chancellors to resign. Justive Devan Ramachandran will be considering the matter at 4 pm. The justice, who is in Mookambika, is returning to Kochi, for this. The high court has collected Governor's show cause notice and the complete details of it. The show-cause notice demanding them to resign before 11.30 am is not legal. The legal possibilities of it will be considered in the special sitting. The lawyer of the VCs has approached the Chief Justice. Following that, the chief justice directed a special sitting.
