Driver of private school in Kollam held with MDMA, zip lock covers found

KOLLAM: A school bus driver has been arrested with MDMA in a search conducted by the excise in Chathanur and Kottiyam areas. The arrested is Rafeeq (27), a driver of a private school in Kottiyam and a native of Adichanalloor. 4.658 grams of MDMA and 73 grams of ganja were seized from him.

His mobile phone and zip locks used to store the MDMA were found. Kollam assistant commissioner V Robert said an investigation focusing on his mobile phone has started. A search led by Chathanur excise inspector M Krishna Kumar was attended by preventive officers R G Vinod, A Shihabudeen and civil excise officers O S Vishnu, J Jyothi, M Vishnu and S Divya.
