World's tallest Shiva statue inaugurated in Rajasthan

JAIPUR: The world's tallest Shiva statue was dedicated to the nation yesterday at Nathdwara town in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district. The statue known as 'Vishwas Swaroopam' will stand tall among other world wonders of the country.

The statue is coated with zinc and painted with copper to protect it from rain and sunlight. It is constructed in such a way that it will not collapse even if it is hit by a storm at a speed of 250 km. The wind tunnel test was conducted in Australia.
