Excise’ lightning raid in school, ganja kept for sale by security seized, five arrested

KOCHI: Five people have been arrested with ganja from a private school in Nellikuzhi in Kothamangalam. Shafeeq, Ashanth, Ashiq, Muneer of Vadattupara and Harikrishnan from Kuthukuzhi were arrested. The excise team seized ganja during a search in the security employee’s room.

The excise conducted a lightning raid at 8 pm last night. The ganja delivered for sale was seized. The excise took into custody the vehicles of the accused. The security employee Saju, Biju and Yaseen fled from the place.

A school driver was arrested from Kollam two days ago with MDMA. He has been identified as Rafeeq (27) of Adichanalloor and a driver of a private school. 4.658 grams of MDMA and 73 grams of ganja were recovered from him.
