Greeshma’s suicide attempt a drama? Action against police for security lapse

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An action will be taken against the policemen in the incident of Greeshma, accused in the Sharon murder case, trying to commit suicide in the police station. Rural SP D Shilpa said action will be taken against the policemen for their lapse in the security of the accused.

The SP said Greeshma did not use the washroom where the safety examination was conducted. The SP added that action was taken for not following the alert instructions. She tried to commit suicide in the Nedumangad police station Monday morning. She drank the Lizol kept in the washroom.

Greeshma was shifted to the medical college after she started vomiting. The authorities informed that her health condition is satisfactory. She has admitted of drinking the lotion. Interrogation will start once she regains health.

Greeshma was brought to Nedumangad police station at around 1 am today. There were four policemen including a female sub inspector for her escort. Meantime, Sharon’s father responded that Greeshma's suicide attempt is a play. The crime branch also termed it as a play.
