Thrissur: A teacher of the Maharaja’s Technological Institute in Thrissur was threatened by SFI District Secretary, Azam Mubarak, and other protesters at the office. The threatened teacher was the principal in charge of the institution.
On 25th October, the students of the institute staged a protest against the principal-in-charge. He called the police and had the students arrested. Following this, the SFI Thrissur District Secretary and other protesters reached the office and threatened the principal-in-charge in front of other teachers and the police.
Azam Mubarak threatened the teacher by saying that he and the protesters have seen many people like the teacher and continued that they have respect towards teachers. But if they do anything wrong then their legs would be broken. The SFI leader also told that they are members of the Syndicate and the Senate. He also demanded that the teacher give an apology in writing. If he does not write an apology, then his legs will be broken.
The teacher has given a complaint to the Police Commissioner in relation to the incident. The police said that they will take action after investigations. The CCTV visuals of the threats have also surfaced on social media.
