15-year-old girl injures lover over love failure and then attempts suicide

THAMARASSERY: A 15-year-old girl has tried to commit suicide after slitting wrist of her lover over love failure. Kodancherry native Sajith (25) has been injured. He is a bus employee. The girl and the youth have been admitted to Taluk Hospital, Thamarassery. The incident took place at the Thamarassery Karadi bus stand at 12.30 pm yesterday.

According to the youth’s statement, the girl boarded on the bus which was stopped at the stand and asked him to come to the back of the bus, as soon as he approached, she took out a knife from her bag and attacked him. He ran outside from the bus screaming as his hand was injured. By the time people arrived, the girl also slit her wrist, The locals and bus employees took them to hospital. The injury is not serious. The family says that the girl has been undergoing treatment for mental illness for six months. So, they had asked the youth to end the relationship. Thamarassery DYSP Ashraf said that no case has been registered as no one has filed a complaint and if a complaint is received, a case will be registered and an investigation will be conducted.School girl injures lover over love failure and then attempts suicide
