Threat of drugs in dangerous situation, should stop return of old bad habits: CM’s greetings on Kerala Piravi

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan greeted the people of the state on Kerala Piravi. In his message, the chief minister stated that the LDF government is trying to make real the goals and dreams of the great people who tried to reorganize the state on the basis of language. The chief minister also warned that the state is in a dangerous state of drug menace and that our society should not be contaminated with customs and superstitions.

His Facebook post said
‘During the language-based state reorganization phase, the great people who tried for it had certain goals in mind. The movements that tried for the birth of a united Kerala had dreams about how the future Kerala should be. The LDF Government of Kerala is now engaged in dedicated efforts to make those dreams and concepts a reality. The government has undertaken the task of progressive transformation of our country and people to suit the characteristics of the third millennium stage. Building a new Kerala, building a knowledge society and building a knowledge economy is a part of it. If the development of Kerala is to be possible, infrastructure construction should be made efficient. The government is paying attention to it. We should be able to integrate our knowledge structure into the global knowledge structure. There is also a focus on that. Even if all this is going on, if the prosperity of Kerala is to be possible, a favourable mental environment should also be formed. Unity is so important that it transcends all kinds of thoughts. This should be realized by strengthening the values of secularism. This is necessary to ensure the timely progress of the country so that the unity of the people does not get disintegrated. What is required at this stage is to pledge to renew the values of secularism.

The menace of drugs is dangerous. Drugs are poison that lead to death. We need to be very careful not to let our children fall into its brutal grip. The LDF Government is moving forward by including all sections of the people in awareness raising. There should be everyone's cooperation in this.’
