LUCKNOW: A video of a patient lying on the floor of a government hospital in Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh covered in blood has surfaced on social media. In the video a stray dog is also seen near the patient in the emergency ward. The 28-second video shot in a district hospital in eastern Uttar Pradesh shows the ward with empty beds and no doctor or nurse around. The stray dog ​​was also seen walking past the bleeding patient and sniffing the blood.

Dr SK Verma, the hospital in-charge, said that the man was an accident victim and he was drunk and fell off the bed several times during treatment. He was later shifted to a hospital in Gorakhpur. The doctor claims that the doctor and the ward boy were in another ward when the video was shot. Meanwhile, District Magistrate Sai informed that a report has been sent to the health department against the doctor on duty in the district hospital.
