If EPF pension is above Rs.4000 then there won’t be welfare pension

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has decided not to give social security pension to those who retired as executive staff positions from national and state government institutions and getting more than Rs.4000 as EPF pension.

However, those whose pension is below Rs.4000, will be given a pension of Rs.600 every month. They will also continue to receive the pension of the Welfare Board. If the pension is above Rs.4000 then only Rs.600 will be given as social welfare pension.

The Information Kerala Mission and Welfare Board CEOs are ordered to prepare the list of pensioners at the local bodies.
