Three youths killed after bike hits school bus in Alappuzha

ALAPPUZHA: Three youths were killed in an accident that happened on Aroor National Highway in Alappuzha around 1 am Sunday morning. The bike rammed behind a school bus parked on the road. The dead have been identified as Abhijith (23) of Kalappurakkal, Alvin (23) of Kappalinkil and Bijoy Varghese (24) of Chanthir Vadasseri. All three are natives of Aroor.

The bike in which the youths were travelling in rammed into the back of the school bus of Ernakulam Kendriya Vidyalaya. Abhijit and Bijoy died on the spot itself. The preliminary conclusion is that over speed is the cause of the accident. The accident happened when they were returning after attending their friend’s house warming function. The bodies have been shifted to the mortuary of Lakeshore Hospital.
