KOTHAMANGALAM: In the film Ee Parakkum Thalika, the groom’s father was surprised to see a bus decorated for marriage purpose. Similarly, the Kothamangalm depot gave a KSRTC bus for rent for a marriage function in Ernakulam.

Ramesh took for rent a fast passenger bus of the Kothamangalam depot for marriage purpose. The bus which went from Nellikuzhy to Irumbupalam was decorated with leaves, sticks and branches of tree. The bus was given the name Thamarakshan Pillai, the flag of Argentina was also tied in front of the bus and some tied a flag of Brazil. The part where KSRTC was written was covered and instead the flex of Thamarakshan Pillai was kept. When the incident stoked a controversy, the authorities of the Kothamangalm depot responded. The authorities said they just gave the vehicle for rent and the people who rented it decorated the bus. Meantime, some criticized saying the government taking strict action against private buses, didn’t they see this. They also asked whether the MVD has not noticed this. The motor vehicle department has started an investigation into the incident.
