KANNUR: KPCC chief K Sudhakaran is firm in his statements in connection with the RSS. Sudhakaran said that he had given protection to RSS shakha and was part of the Congress organization then. Any party in India has the right to act fundamentally. If denies it, will protect it, said Sudhakaran while talking at the M V Raghavan commemoration program in the district.
Sudhakaran said when the CPM tried to destroy RSS shakhas, had protected it by giving people. Had protected the shakhas in Edakkad, Thottada and Kizhunna regions in this way. It was done as a democrat to ensure that fundamental rights are not compromised, not by RSS. However, Sudhakaran said that he had never been associated with RSS politics. He said that if he feels like going to BJP, he will go. He said that he has the intelligence and political sense to decide whether to go or not.
Meantime, CPM state secretary M V Govindan said that he is not surprised on what K Sudhakaran said and that the RSS and Congress had cooperated with each other in Kannur.
