Woman falls unconscious after knowing 15-year-old daughter’s pregnancy

IDUKKI: A 45-year-old man has been arrested for impregnating a 15-year-old girl. The arrested is Padmanabhan of Thrissur. He was working as a hotel employee in Munnar in the name of Pradeep.

The accused sexually abused a differently-abled 15-year-old girl. He has been staying with the girl's mother for years. The girl along with her mother went to the taluk hospital for stomach pain. Padmanabhan also accompanied them.

The woman had fallen unconscious when the doctors told her about her daughter’s pregnancy. He fled after taking a 50 rupee note from the girl's purse to buy water. The hospital authorities informed the police. The accused was arrested in a search conducted.
