CHENNAI: Nalini, one of the convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination said that she was really sad about his killing. She also claimed that she was not aware of the assassination plot. She was speaking at a press conference after being released from prison yesterday based on Supreme court verdict.
Nalini also demanded that her husband Murugan, a Sri Lankan citizen, be allowed to stay with her in India.
Nalini is the only surviving member of the suicide squad that came to Sriperumbudur to assassinate Rajiv Gandhi. She expressed her desire to live with family in India. Nalini also requested not to send back her husband Murugan, a Sri Lankan citizen, who was transferred to a special camp in Tiruchirappalli. Nalini also said that she like to meet the Gandhi family although the possibility is less.
