THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader VD Satheeshan has responded to NSS general secretary G Sukumaran Nair’s criticism. He clarified that he has not rejected the NSS or distanced himself from anyone. He was speaking to the media in Dubai.

“During Thrikkakara by-election, I said that the party does not want the vote of the communalists.”, said Satheeshan. He clarified his earlier stance and said that what he meant was political leaders should not blindly follow whatever community leaders tell them.

G Sukumaran Nair had criticised that Satheeshan had disowned the NSS. “During the election, Satheesan approached me and talked for an hour and a half and sought my support. Later he said that he did not win with the support of any community organisation. Satheesan should change his current stance that is rejecting the community”, demanded Nair.
