Three-year-old boy falls into drain in Kochi, major accident averted

KOCHI: A three-year-old boy sustained injuries after falling into a drain. The accident happened at Panampilly Nagar in Kochi. The child fell into the gap of the drainage. A major accident was averted as the mother who was with him immediately pulled him out. The hospital authorities informed that the condition of the child is satisfactory.

The incident happened at 7 pm last night. The child was going home with his parents after disembarking from Metro. The accident happened amidst this. Many including the local residents and the councilor had many times requested the authorities to cover this drain. However, the reason for the accident is that the authorities did not take the action required.
