NEW DELHI: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has said that he has not illegally appointed a single personal staff. He told the media that he does not interfere in the appointments at the Raj Bhavan and he still has only the same personal staff as in the previous years.

The Governor said that he has not requested for any additional facilities. He added that he has not even asked to replace the car that is not even suitable for driving for road. The Governor had clarified the other day that he will now address the ministers’ personal staff issue.

At the same time, the Governor said that he stands firm in his statement that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was involved in Priya Varghese’s appointment as an associate professor in Kannur University. He added that this can be considered as the common practice of the government.
