KOCHI: The body of Elanthoor human sacrifice victim, Padma, was handed over to her family after the completion of DNA test. Her funeral will be held today. Padma’s body was received by her sister, Palaniamma and her son, Selva Raj from Kottayam Medical College. Her body was taken to her home town, Dharmapuri.

Her funeral will be held today evening. Her son had written to the Chief Minister, twice, requesting her body to be handed over.

Padma’s body was handed over to the relatives after one month of scientific investigation. As her body was cut into pieces, DNA testing had to be done on every part separately. This was why there was a delay in handing over her mortal remains.

Padma’s body parts were kept at Kottayam Medical College. Her remains were handed out to her relatives after Kadavanthara Police reached the Medical College.
