Policeman accused of scamming over Rs 1 crore, complaint lodged at two stations

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A policeman accused in financial fraud case has gone into hiding. The complaint was raised against Ravi Shankar of Ottapalam station. The case is that the cop scammed about Rs 1 crore under the pretext of investing in the share market. Complaints have been received against the policeman at Pangode and Nedumangad stations.

The complaint says that he took money from friends and locals. Dividends were given in the early days after giving money. As per complaints, they are no longer getting money or interest. Ottapalam police say that they do not know the whereabouts of Ravi Shankar, who is on medical leave.
