KOLKATA: Bengali actress Aindrila Sharma passed away on Sunday at a private hospital in Howrah. She was 24 years old. The actress was admitted to the hospital on November 1 following a stroke. The actress, who was on a ventilator, suffered a heart attack earlier but she was brought back to life by giving CPR. This time, the death occurred due to more than one heart attack, the hospital authorities said.
The actress, who hails from Murshidabad district, was active in Bengali television programs. She acted in serials like Jiyon Kathi, Jumur and Jiban Jyoti. Having survived cancer twice, she re-entered the acting field in 2015. She recently acted in the web series 'Bhagar' with Sabhyasachi Chaudhary. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled the death of the actress.
