Engineer attempts suicide after threat by girlfriend’s father

IDUKKI: An engineer tried to commit suicide soon after his girlfriend’s father threatened him. The incident happened the other day. The youth from Adimali was in a relationship with a woman from Vellathooval.

After knowing his daughter’s relationship, her father called the youth and threatened him. The youth who got frightened bought poison and climbed the Pettimudi hill which is of 3600-foot high in Kumbanpara. His relatives immediately informed the police.

The youth was found to be in Pettimudi on mobile phone location. Following that, the Adimali police went to the spot. The youth who consumed poison was immediately taken to the hospital by the police. He is out of danger.
