State Television Awards announced; ‘Aliyans’ of Kaumudy TV bags three awards

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Aliyans, a comedy programme aired by Kaumudy TV, has won three awards at the state television awards. Aliyans bagged the award for best comedy programme. Film artiste Manju Pathrose bagged jury’s special mention for her performance in Aliyans.

Aliyans director Rajesh Thalachira will get Rs 10,000, a sculpture and a citation. Ramji Krishnan, the producer of Aliyans, will get Rs 15,000, a sculpture and a citation. The jury mentioned that the award for Manju Pathrose is for her brilliant performance of Thankam, the lead role in Aliyans. She will get a sculpture and a citation. The jury judged Aliyans as a comedy show presenting the moments of life without losing naturalness, without exaggeration and through a moderate and natural acting style.
