Two youths clash over asking phone number of girlfriend; one hurt

Palakkad: Two youths got into a fight at Vadakkencherry after one of them asked the phone number of the other’s girlfriend. The quarrel began when Renjith asked the phone number of Arun’s girlfriend.

When the fight escalated, Renjith took a knife from a coconut seller who was nearby and slashed Arun. Before Arun was injured more, the locals intervened in the fight and brought it under control.

Arun who got cut in his leg is admitted in the hospital. Renjith has been arrested by the Vadakkencherry police for murder attempt.
