Ramesh Chennithala responds to Tharoor’s Malabar tour controversy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala said that nobody should fear any Congress leader and that all leaders have the freedom to work across the state and it should be within the party framework. He was talking to the media regarding Tharoor’s Malabar tour and the controversy that followed.

“The decision of the party in the candidate selection applies to all. No one is beyond the party. Everyone including me should work through the systematic ways of the party.”, said Chennithala. He added that it is important to fight against the central and state governments who have anti-people stance and leaders must not be the cause for news which alleges about split in party. Chennithala stated that he didn’t think opposition leader VD Satheeshan’s balloon remark was against Tharoor. He also responded to K Muraleedharan’s remark.
