Teacher arrested under POCSO Act for trying to molest a student during cultural fest

KOLLAM: A teacher has been arrested under POCSO Act for trying to molest a girl student during sub-district school cultural fest. The police arrested Usuf, a native of Kadakkal in Kollam district.

In the complaint, the teacher tried to molest the student while traveling on the bus towards the canteen on Thursday. First other teachers were informed about the incident and then approached the police.

The police informed that the teacher is now absconding and a search is on to nab him.
