Actor Vijay Deverakonda appears before ED in connection with complaint regarding financial transactions of ‘Liger’

Telugu superstar Vijay Deverakonda is being questioned by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the financial transactions of ‘Liger’ movie. Vijay Deverakonda and Bollywood actor Ananya Pandey acted in the lead roles in the film.

The actor is currently in ED office, Hyderabad. The ED is investigating a complaint filed by Telangana Congress leader Bakka Judson claiming that the investment into the movie was through dubious routes. It is alleged that the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) has been violated. There are also allegations that some politicians have used black money to produce this film. The ED also stated that some money transactions took place in Dubai. The total budget of the film was Rs 125 crore.

The ED is probing the remuneration received by Vijay Devarakonda and other crew members. The ED had earlier questioned Puri Jagannath and Charmi Kaur, the producers of ‘Liger’, for twelve hours in connection with the case.
