Resurrected Anson is now a teacher at CET

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The life of Anson S Watson, an architecture student, was confined to a wheelchair following a bike accident which took place ten years ago. During those days, Anson felt that all his dreams were destroyed as both his legs became paralysed. However, he was not ready to give up. He worked hard and was resurrected. Next week, he will join as an Ad Hoc Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture in CET, Thiruvananthapuram. He will drive a modified red Ford car. He doesn't need anyone's help to either get into the car from his wheelchair or get down from it. Anson is also good at playing instruments such as guitar and keyboard.

Anson met with the accident when he was studying B Arch third year at TKM Engineering College, Kollam. He was lucky that he survived. He was lucky that he survived. Following this, he underwent treatment for several months. The wheelchair became a part of life. He started spending more time in his room and even felt reluctant to go out in a wheelchair. Slowly, he started to overcome his worries. He then returned to college in a wheelchair. His friends used to carry him in their arms to the classroom. After passing B Arch, he stayed at home for a while.

It was during this time that he came to know about the differently abled friendly ramp in CET. In 2019, he joined the M.Plan (Master of Planning) course there. After completing M Plan, he became Research Associate in Barrier Free Consultancy Cell in CET. Now, he has become an Assistant Professor.

Anson receives constant support from his mother Celine and sister Ancy. When someone reaches out to help him while in a wheelchair, Anson would smile and say, "Don't hold me, I won't fall". He is currently staying at a hostel as his mother always does everything for him at home.
