THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Arif Mohammad Khan on Saturday clarified his stance on the Vizhinjam port strike. The Governor said that the ongoing protests over the construction of the port should not worsen by crossing the limit.
"The government is taking action on the matter. We must wait as the matter is under the consideration of the High Court," he said.
The Governor had earlier criticized the state government after the Vizhinjam anti-port strike turned violent. He said the state government was more interested in controlling the universities rather than maintaining law and order. He also said that the Governor himself was the Chancellor of the universities and there should be no nepotism there.
