Youth stabbed to death in drunken brawl, three held

IDUKKI: A 40-year-old youth was stabbed to death by his friend during a drunken brawl. The dead has been identified as Sam Joseph (40) of Naliyani. The incident happened last night at Kanjar, Naliyani in Thodupuzha.

Sam was consuming liquor along with his three friends. A verbal dispute broke out in between this and one of his friends who had a knife with him, stabbed Sam on his neck. Though he was rushed to the hospital, his life could not be saved.

Police said three of his friends have been taken into custody. The investigating officers said the cause of the murder is being probed.
