Govt official suspended for attending Rahul’s Bharat Jodo Yatra

BHOPAL: A school teacher was suspended for attending Bharat Jodo Yatra led by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi at Barwani in Madhya Pradesh. The teacher suspended is Rajesh Kannoje, a teacher with a government primary school coming under the state’s tribal affairs department in Kanasya. His suspension order is being circulated on social media.

Kannoje has been suspended for violation of service rules and for attending a political rally. He was suspended by N S Raghuvanshi, assistant commissioner of the tribal affairs

department. He had sought leave citing important work but he posted photos on social media after attending the yatra.

Rahul’s yatra which started from Kanyakumari to Jammu and Kashmir on September 7 entered Madhya Pradesh on November 23. The yatra entered Madhya Pradesh after crossing, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.
