Elephant attacks jeep returning from location of Prithviraj’s film, pushes vehicle to a gorge

IDUKKI: An elephant attacked a jeep returning from the location of Prithviraj’s film Vilayath Budha. The vehicle was attacked on Friday morning while returning to Tamil Nadu from the shooting location in Marayoor. The driver of the vehicle had a narrow escape.

The incident happened at Ponganoda area. The driver stopped the jeep seeing the elephant in the middle of the road. Soon the elephant came and attacked the vehicle. The driver who ran from the jeep seeing the elephant sustained injuries on his leg. The elephant then pushed the vehicle to a gorge.

Vilayath Budha directed by debutant Jayan Nambiar has Prithviraj in the lead role. Priyamvada Krishna is the heroine. Other cases include Kottayam Ramesh, Anumohan, Shammi Thilakan, Rajashree Nair and many others. The script is penned jointly by G R Indu Gopan and Rajesh Pinnadan. The film is produced by Sandeep Senan under the banner of Urvashi Theatres. Sachy had decided to do this film after Ayyappanum Koshyum. His assistant Jayan Nambiar, assistant director of Lucifer decided to do this film after his mentor’s death.
