Youth beaten to death and body dumped near his home in Thrikaripur; seven member gang behind murder

KASARGOD: A gang had beaten a youth to death and dumped the body near his house in Vayalodi, Thrikaripur. The deceased have been identified as Priyesh (35), son of Krishnan-Ammini couple. The police got information that a seven-member gang was behind the murder. Two people have been taken into custody.

Police are interrogating five people in connection with the incident. The police got the information that the youth was called from the house by the gang and was beaten to death. The family has given a statement to the police that the youth had been threatened earlier. The dead body was found lying with his hands tied near the bullet used by the youth. The body was covered in mud in a land near the house.

The shirt he was wearing when he left home at 8:30 in the night was not in the body. There were injuries on his body. The family said that Priyesh went outside saying that he would come at 10 o'clock. After he did not arrive at 12 am, they called him but he did not answer. His father Krishnan gave a statement to the police that Priyesh left after receiving a phone call.

As per the police, he was beaten to death near Vayalodi ditch and the body was carried in the bullet and dumped near his home. The helmet worn by Priyesh was found on top of a wall 100 meters away. Priyesh is unmarried. He is an employee of a private firm in Payyannur.
