Mallika Sarabhai appointed as Kalamandalam Chancellor; Government issues order

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala government has appointed renowned dancer Mallika Sarabhai as Chancellor of Kalamandalam deemed university. The Department of Culture has issued an order in this regard. Making the announcement, minister VN Vasavan said that Mallika is a genius who used art for social transformation,

The government had removed Governor Arif Mohammad Khan from the post of Kalamandalam Chancellor on November 11. It then stated that prominent persons in the field of arts would be considered for the post of Chancellor.
