Lok Sabha bypolls: SP's Dimple Yadav leads by over two lakh votes in Mainpuri

NEW DELHI: Samajwadi Party candidate Dimple Yadav is currently having a massive lead in the Mainpuri Lok Sabha by-election in Uttar Pradesh. She has secured 4,68,810 votes and is leading by a margin of 2,31,955 votes over BJP's Raghuraj Singh.

The by-election was held in Mainpur after the death of Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav. Dimple Yadav is the wife of Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and daughter-in-law of Mulayam Singh.

Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress did not contest the elections.

Top leaders including Dimple Yadav's husband and Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav led the campaign in their stronghold of Mainpur in Uttar Pradesh.
