THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed the assembly that the Silverline project will not be abandoned. The project will not be shelved. The cases registered against the protesters will not be withdrawn. You have won, but this is a failure of the state, added the chief minister. The revenue minister explained that there is no obstacle in transactions and in taking loan.

Meantime, the opposition came forward and demanded that no matter what permission is obtained, will not allow the implementation of Silverline and demanded to withdraw the notification issued for land acquisition. The opposition is with the development, but will not allow the implementation of the Silverline which will destroy Kerala. The chief minister thinks the project can be implemented if meets the Prime Minister and the BJP leaders. The opposition also said that even if the center gives permission, the UDF will mobilize people and stage protests.

Opposition leader V D Satheesan said this shows the arrogance of the government in getting a second term. He said the government is challenging the people with a non-existent plan and if a case is to be filed for protesting, the most cases should be filed against your party members. He added that the government should be sympathetic to withdraw the cases against those who protested against the installation of yellow poles.
