Atmopadesa Satakam's Italian translation presented to an American University Centre Library in Rome

ROME: Abdel Latif Chalkandi, Cultural Advisor, Tawasul International Centre for Publishing, Research and Dialogue, Rome, presented Dr Sabrina Lei's Italian translation of Sree Narayana Guru's Atmopadesa Satakam to Professor Todd, the Director of an American university centre in Rome for the centre's library. Along with Atmopadesa Satakam, the Italian translations of the Bhagavad Gita and selected Upanishads by Dr Sabrina Lei were also presented to the university center's library. In his discussion with the American academics of the centre Abdel Latif Chalkandi gave a detailed introduction to the pioneering work of Sree Narayana Guru in stressing human brotherhood across and castes and religions in Kerala. Also, the first all religions conference organised by Sree Narayana Guru in the early 1920s was discussed as a milestone in interfaith dialogue. Dr Sabrina Lei is currently completing the Italian translation of the Guru's Darshana Mala in Italian, with an introductory study.
