PFI had a secret wing that prepared hit list of people from other religious communities, states NIA

KOCHI: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has informed that the banned organization Popular Front of India (PFI) had a secret wing. The probe team has stated in the NIA court, Kochi that the PFI had a special wing to prepare a hit list of people belonging to other religious communities.

A state-wide secret team was operating to prepare the hit list. The NIA stated in the court that this secret group is responsible for collecting information and preparing the list. They operated based on the offices of PFI. The investigation continues to identify those who are included in the list. The NIA also told the court that they have found evidence of IS links of the PFI leaders while examining the digital documents seized in the raid.

Investigations are also on into PFI funding for anti-national activities. The NIA court, Kochi also accepted the demand of the investigation team to increase the remand period of 14 accused to 180 days.
