PATHANAMTHITTA: A complaint has been filed against Mahila Congress leader advocate Vibitha Babu for cheating an amount of more than Rs 14 lakh. An expatriate Malayalee Sebastian of Kaduthuruthy in Kottayam filed a complaint at the Thiruvalla police.
The expat got acquainted with the leader over a land dealing in Ernakulam. Later they maintained a cordial relation and she sought financial help from the expat for the last local body polls. Sebastian alleged that he gave Rs 14.16 lakh in her and her father’s name and she did not return it.
75-year-old Sebastian lodged a complaint with the police last Monday. The woman leader has also filed a complaint against him. Vibitha filed the complaint that Sebastian before filing the complaint came to her office and misbehaved with her.
