New step to defend Covid in country, nasal vaccine from today

NEW DELHI: Leading pharmaceutical company Bharat Biotech's intranasal Covid-19 vaccine will be available in hospitals across the country from today. Nasal vaccine is given as a preventive dose in the context of the confirmation of the new variant of Covid found in China in India. The union health ministry has informed that mock drills will be conducted in hospitals across the country from Tuesday.

The government had earlier approved the nasal vaccine. Official authorities said that those who have received Covishield and Covaxin can take the nasal vaccine as booster. Information related to this will be available from today on CoWIN App. Nasal vaccine will be available in private hospitals also.

The centre has directed that everyone should take the preventive vaccine. The union health ministry has directed that the elderly and those having health issues should see the vaccine more seriously.
